CedarTown,Georgia Woman Heads to Haiti
(2010-01-19)
(WABE) - A group of search and rescue specialists from Georgia is headed to Haiti to help with relief efforts.
They are volunteering their services.
WABE's Rose Scott has this report on one of the rescuers:

Whenever Tracy Sargent leaves for a search and rescue mission normally, she's part of a k-9 unit looking for trapped survivors.
But this time:

(( there will not be dogs used in this mission cause we know exactly where we're going and we're going to process and clear this orphanage))

Sergeant has been involved with search and rescue missions for 17-years inclu Sargent ding Katrina and most recently the sugar plant explosion in Savannah.
It's been one week since the earthquake and although the search for survivors continues:

((we're going doing to recovery operations of all deceased personnel there and then if anyone is there and they are still alive we will provide medical aid to them))

A native of Cedar Town, Georgia, Tracy Sargent works with Georgia's Emergency Management Agency when she's not volunteering for rescue missions.
And while her family and friends worry about her safety Sergeant says:

((for me I'm in a good place as far as is something does happen my family and friends know how I feel about them and I love and care about and I'm doing what I love to))

Tracy Sargent and the rescue unit will head out later this week.
