King Family Disagreements At End?

(WABE) - The ongoing disagreements among the King siblings regarding the estate and licensing of their father, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. appears to be over.
WABE's Rose Scott reports on the court ruling.

Bernice, Dexter and Martin the III are finally in agreement.
Each has consented to a court appointed interim custodian.
That person is Terry Giles, who will execute all of the business dealings as it relates to Martin Luther King, Jr. Incorporated.
WABE legal analyst Page Pate says the ruling by Judge Ural Glanville still keeps the Kings involved

The interim custodian is an individual or entity that will keep custody of the corporate assets and documenta but still allows the Kings to manage and run the company.
That means a new movie about Dr. King could still be made and other licensing agreements won't be held up through disagreements among the siblings.

Pate adds this type of ruling is probably the best outcome for all parties involved.
Sometimes in cases like this, according to Pate, a judge will dissolve the company and get rid of ownership.

In this case, the judge is giving every indication that he wants the King family to stay involved and ultimately control the direction of the King estate.
Pate believes that's a good thing.

Calls to attorneys representing the Kings were not returned.
