Atlanta
Anti-Crime Advocate Announces Bid for Atlanta Mayor
ATLANTA, GA
(WABE) -
Late last year, Kyle Keyser was robbed at gunpoint at a Midtown Pizza Hut. He says, for him, the last straw came when a bartender was murdered a few weeks later at a Grant Park eatery.
Keyser helped form Atlantans Together Against Crime, and has since advocated for the city to step up its crime-fighting efforts.
The 36-year old says he doesn't consider a "win" to be based on the highest number of votes.
"If all that ends up happening is that my voice and the voice of the community continues to be front and center, and now even more so, then that's a win."
Keyser faces a crowded field, several with heavy financial backing. He must still raise the more than $4,000 necessary to qualify for the race.
