Atlanta
Hawks Select 19th NBA Draft
A reminder in 1984, the Portland Trailblazers passed on taking Michael Jordan that's still called the one worst draft move in NBA history.
The Atlanta Hawks have also been criticized for making less than popular draft picks.
But this time could be different says Lang Whitaker editor of the basketball magazine Slam:
((I don't who they're going to take or what my guess there's so many point guards that's somebody's gone drop to 19th--could be somebody that can come in and play right away...
That may be the case if point guard Mike Bibby doesn't resign with the team.
Whitaker says if Bibby goes that would be a big loss for the Hawks:
((the stuff that he's really good at--- if we don't have a guy that's been in the playoffs many times been in huge games without hime there's really no one with experience for the hawks))
Whitaker says point guardTy Lawson and power forward Tyler Hansbrough both from the University of North Carolina would be a good fit for the Hawks.
