Dunwoody Looks to Next Steps
If you're thinking about running for public office in Dunwoody, you'd better make up your mind soon. Qualifying for city council or the mayor's office is in just three weeks, between August 6th and 8th.
Ken Wright, head of the non-profit Citizens for Dunwoody, says his group will hold an informational session on Saturday at the library:
WRIGHT: For any community members out there that are interested in learning more about what it takes to be a candidate, what are the qualification rules, what are the requirements by the state.
Dunwoody will have 6 part-time council members - three in districts and three at-large, and one part-time mayor. Elections will happen on September 16th.
