The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and the Friends of the Visual Arts will present a free, one-night screening of “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches.
Directed by David Gelb, “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” is the story of 85-year-old Jiro Ono, considered by many to be the world’s greatest sushi chef. He is the proprietor of Sukiyabashi Jiro, a 10-seat, sushi-only restaurant located in a Tokyo subway station. This screening is part of the School of Art’s monthly Friday Night Film Series.
