Main Street El Dorado presents the 2014 Showtime Concert Series that takes place the fourth Saturday in June, July and August on Union Square in downtown El Dorado. Each Saturday will present a national recording artist, and will follow the Showdown At Sunset event.
The next performance of the summer will take place Saturday, July 26th with Joshua Scott Jones headlining. As one-half of the successful country duo Steel Magnolia, Joshua Scott Jones isno stranger to hit songs. After winning CMT’s Can You Duet, Josh and his duo partner Meghan Linsey were thrust into the limelight and it wasn’t long before they were a staple in the country community. The duo ‘s hits included “Keep on Lovin’ You”,”Just By Being You (Halo and Wings”, and “Last Night Again” and they were nominated for Best New Vocal Duo or Group at the ACM, CMA and CMT Awards. On his debut album titled The Healing, which will drop in 2014, the singer opens up and tells a story that begs to be heard. Josh’s catchy lead single “Honk (If You’re Tonky)” launched worldwide in January and was instantly a fan favorite on radio, including SIRIUS XM’s The Highway. With a full-length record, a new music video and a tour coming in the next few months, there’s no limit to where this country-crooning rocker will go.
The Showtime Concert Series will start each night at 7:00 pm with pre-event music on the Showtime Stage with the headliner taking the stage at 8:00pm. All concerts are free and open to the public.
