The Bossier Arts Council will pay tribute to its founding member, Virginia Chevalier Cook, with a retrospective to be displayed at Boomtown Casino's 1800 Prime Steakhouse. The quarterly event known as WAM (Wine, Art and Music) will feature a collection from Mrs. Cook's large body of work; as well as, wine and food pairings. Virginia Cook's legacy can be found in the present programming of the Bossier Arts Council, and she remains a fixture there teaching an adult art class each week in the learning annex on the BAC main campus. She is an inspiration to area artists and the Bossier Arts Council staff. Cook's Boomtown reception will be on February 20, 2014 from 5:30-7:30 at Boomtown's 1800 Prime Steakhouse, 300 Riverside Dr., Bossier City, LA. Cost is $25 for all you can eat and drink, 21 years and up.
