A Wayne County Reads event. Frances O'Roark, author of the young adult novel Shooting the Moon, will speak on her book: how she came to write it, why she found the Vietnam War a compelling topic for a middle grade novel, and how her own experience as an Army brat became part of the book. A question-and-answer period will follow during which she welcomes questions about her writing life, how to become a writer, etc. Free and open to members of the public of all ages.
