Bishop Kevin Rhoades of the Fort Wayne-South Bend Catholic Diocese will present the lecture “On Same Sex Marriage” on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. in the North Campus auditorium at the University of Saint Francis. The offering is part of a free series by the university’s Department of Philosophy and Theology and School of Arts and Sciences.
Bishop Rhoades will address such questions as whether gays and lesbians should be allowed to marry, whether opposition to same-sex marriage is simply a species of bigotry like racism, what the Catholic Church teaches about marriage and the church’s role in this controversial debate.
For more information on the free public lecture, contact Angie Springer in the School of Arts and Sciences at (260) 399-8066 or email@example.com.
