This is the second lecture by Fr. Roger Karban, a Roman Catholic priest of the Diocese of Belleville with scholarly expertise in the Sacred Scriptures. Fr. Karban will address the group on the characteristics one needs to appreciate scripture. Often people approach scripture with the wrong attitude or point of view. Through his years of lecturing on the scriptures and teaching the Bible as literature at a community college, as well as teaching at St. Louis University and directing the diocesan diaconate program, Fr. Roger has learned something of the attitudes people often bring with them to the study of scripture. This should be a very stimulating and interesting lecture and discussion.
