| Fort Wayne Sister Cities International presents "Taste of Fort Wayne Sister Cities," its Annual Dinner and Gala Fundraiser to be held at the Holiday Inn at IPFW and Coliseum Blvd. in Fort Wayne. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with Social Hour and a Cash Bar from 6 to 7 p.m. There will be a Silent Auction throughout the evening until 8 p.m. Dinner is at 7 p.m. Chef Jim Martin will present cuisine from Fort Wayne's four Sister Cities; including assorted sushi, edamame and seaweed salad from Takaoka, (pronounced Talk-ah-oh'-ka) Japan; from Plock (pronounced Pwotsk) Poland - pierogies, white fish, cucumber & dill salad; from Gera (pronounced Gay'-rrah), Germany - cabbage rolls, bratwurst sliders and hot potato salad; from Taizhou, (pronounced Tie-joe') China - chicken or beef satay, shrimp and cashew wonton, cabbage and vegetable egg roll with sesame sauce and lo mein noodle salad. Desserts include: mini Black Forest cake, pineapple tempura served with sweet peanut sauce, green-tea ice cream, and fruit salad. World-reknown entertainers will perform at 7:30 p.m. and the guest speaker will be Mayor Tom Henry. Reservations required by February 13; tickets $50 per person, $55 at the door, $1,000 for a table of 8. Send check to FWSCI, 927 S.
