Nebraska foreclosure rate jumps
(NET Radio) - Nebraska's foreclosure rate soared nearly 94% in April from the previous month, and the rate was nearly 95% higher than in April 2007. The website RealtyTrac sites court records showing one foreclosure-related filing for every 1,459 (14-hundred and 59) households in Nebraska during March. Nationwide, RealtyTrac found one foreclosure-related filing for every 519 households in March. The number of foreclosures remains much lower in Nebraska than in many other states, but, Nebraska's foreclosure rate ranked 30th in April, up from 40th the previous month.
