Program conserves land for bird habitat

(NET Radio) - Thousands of acres in Nebraska will be set aside as bird habitat under a new program beginning this year.

The new offering is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Conservation Reserve Program, which pays landowners to take steps to preserve habitat, reduce erosion or protect water quality.
