Smith seeks re-election in 3rd District
(2008-01-22)
(NET Radio) - Congressman Adrian Smith is seeking a 2nd term. The 3rd District Nebraska Republican made the announcement Tuesday, while also declaring his campaign has 237-thousand dollars. Smith cited re-authorization of the Farm Bill, immigration, and the economy as key issues he'll continue to work on in the House of Representatives. He currently holds seats on the House Agriculture Committee, the House Budget Committee, and the House Science and Technology Committee. Smith won his first term in 2006, defeating Democrat Scott Kleeb. Since then Kleeb has talked about possibly running against Smith again, but has yet to announce his decision.
