Depicting the Great Plains, in film
(NET Radio) - Beginning Friday evening, the non-profit theater Film Streams in Omaha will be showing a series of movies made in the Great Plains. Ranging from "Boys Town" to "Boys Don't Cry," the films tell very different stories about this part of the country. Kurt Andersen lives in New York, where he writes novels and hosts the public radio show Studio 360. He also curated the series. NET Radio's Avishay Artsy talked to Andersen about how he picked ten movies that paint a full picture of the Great Plains.
