Daub drops out of Senate race
(NET Radio) - Hal Daub announced his departure from the Republican primary race for U.S. Senate just 11 days after throwing his hat into the ring. Daub, a former Nebraska Congressman and Omaha Mayor says when he got into the race he didn't think Mike Johanns would run. Daub denied he was asked to step aside to clear the Republican field for Johanns. He said the inablity to raise enough money was his reason for dropping out. Johanns, the former Nebraska governor and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture has not officialy declared, but has strongly signaled his intent to run. State Attorney General Jon Bruning and Schuyler businessman Pat Flynn are also running for the Republican Senate nomination. © Copyright 2017, NET Radio
