(NET Radio) -
Senator LeRoy Louden of Ellsworth said he introduced the proposal at the suggestion of families who have lost children in Iraq. It would allow the Department of Motor Vehicles to create the Gold Star Plates. Only family members of those who died while on military duty would be allowed to buy them, and part of the proceeds would go to support state veterans cemeteries.
