Attempt to revive Class One districts fails

The vote was a bitter pill for supporters of Class One schools, who waged a successful referendum campaign last year to repeal the law that forced their districts to consolidate with neighboring K-12 districts. Senator Cap Dierks of Ewing led the attempt to get an amendment adopted that would restore school districts that were in existence in November, 2005, before they were abolished.
