Anti-smoking ads debut this week
(2007-04-09)
(NET Radio) - Jeff Bower was not a heavy smoker. He says he averaged five cigarettes a day, and smoked only ultra lights. Bower was diagnosed with lung cancer in February of last year. He contacted the state program Tobacco Free Nebraska so he could tell others about his story. Last summer the television ads were aired. Bower died this January, and his wife Brenda asked that the ads be aired again with his date of death.

You contact the Nebraska Tobacco Quitline by calling 1-800-QUITNOW or 1-800-784-8669.
