State may stop teens driving and chatting
(NET Radio) - Sixteen year-olds are already prohibited from driving between midnight and 6 a.m., with exceptions for returning home from work or school activities. The new restrictions would say they could not use cell phones, pdas, or other interactive wireless devices while driving. They would also be limited to one passenger under 19 who was not a family member. Senator John Harms, the bill's sponsor, said his goal is to save the lives of teen drivers who he said are susceptible to distraction by things like cell phones. © Copyright 2017, NET Radio
