Omaha storytelling festival on Saturday
(NET Radio) - People from across the Midwest will gather in Omaha today (Saturday) for the 19th annual Storytelling Festival, sponsored by Nebraska StoryArts. Organizer Gail Teten says in an era of electronic entertainment, story telling is a much more personal event. She adds personal contact is one reason why story telling is still popular. She says people can relate the stories they hear to events in their own life. The festival runs from 9:30 am to 9 pm on Saturday, March 3rd at Southwest Church of Omaha, 124th and Center.
