More prisoners could go to McCook camp
(2007-02-22)
(NET Radio) - Right now the McCook work ethic camp is used only for people who get probation instead of a prison sentence. But under the proposal sponsored by Senator John Synowiecki of Omaha, people who are sentenced to prison could also be sent to McCook, as part of their transition to parole. Arguing in support of the change, Synowiecki said that as of last week, the camp had 72 employees but only 59 offenders.
