U.S. flu plans similar to Nebraska's
(NET Radio) - The state began pandemic flu planning in September of 2004. It was one of four states where residents were asked by the Centers for Disease Control to provide input on the national plan. If human-to-human transmission of a new deadly virus were detected, the state has outlined detailed plans, including public outreach, surveillance and detection, and distributing vaccine and antiviral medications to Nebraskans.
