UNL physicists helping to see inside atoms

UNL scientists helped build these two half discs of detectors. They are stationed just past where the atoms collide to collect information about the particles that break away.
(NET Radio) - The Large Hadron Collider is the world's most powerful particle accelerator. When it reaches full power it could reveal new secrets about what's inside an atom, thanks in part to the work of a team of researchers at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Grant Gerlock reports for NET News.
