Wild horse roundup moves ahead in SW Wyo
The BLM says nearly 1,000 wild horses are estimated to live in the White Mountain/Little Colorado herd management areas between Rock Springs and La Barge.
Its goal population for that area is no more than 400 horses.
The BLM says there would be no significant environmental impact from the roundup, which is set to begin in mid-August and end in early September.
