First time homebuyer credit extended, may not help rural Nebraska

(NET Radio) - A bill extending the federal first-time home-buyer tax credit to the end of April has passed both houses of Congress. It also includes an opportunity for repeat buyers. Both Nebraska U-S Senators voted for the bill. But an economist in western Nebraska doesn't think the credit is providing much economic stimulus for the majority of the state.
