Senator Johanns delivers Republican radio address
(2009-10-26)
(kios) - Nebraska Senator Mike Johanns says a test should be applied to the Senate's 1,500 page health care reform bill.

Senator Johanns delivered the Republican radio address Saturday. He says the health care bill should lower costs and improve access to care. But Nebraska's Junior Senator says the bill doesn't do that. Instead, according to Johanns, it'll increase costs and end programs such as flexible spending accounts.

Johanns says the health care reform legislation will tax health insurance and force people to buy in to a plan. Senator Ben Nelson said recently he expects a vote on the health care bill by the end of the year. Johanns wants the public to have a role in crafting that bill.
