Reflective glass, bright lights can endanger migrating birds

(NET Radio) - As part of the nation's Central Flyway, Nebraska sees hundreds of migratory bird species pass through the state each year. The south-central region is known especially for the annual spring Sandhill Crane migration, which is currently underway.

Karen Cotton of the American Bird Conservancy says birds can be confused by bright lights on tall buildings, as well as by glass in homes and offices. But there are things homeowners and builders can do.
