Safe haven bill debated LINCOLN, NE (NET Radio) - The bill by State Senator Arnie Stuthman of Platte Center would allow parents to legally turn over their newborns to hospital staff or firefighters. The babies would be given to law enforcement officials and then to the state Department of Health and Human Services to be placed for adoption.
