Windmill factory is mechanical time capsule
When the Kregel Windmill Factory in Nebraska City closed in 1991, everything was left just as it had been - down to the notes on the desk. Now, a group wants to open it as a museum. A Nebraska City windmill factory - opened in 1903 and closed in 1991 - is a time capsule. Everything is just where it was on the last day of work. But two experts and a team of volunteers have been working to turn the factory into a museum. NET's Michele Wolford has the story.

A video version of this story will premier next month on the NET series Nebraska Stories. The premier is on January 8, 2012.
