Dancing with strangers was against the rules for "good girls" in the 1940's. In its effort to support the troops with weekend dances, the USO walked a fine line. Good Girls, Good Food, Good Fun: The Story of USO Hostesses during World War II, by Meghan Winchell Flags wave over Nebraska cemeteries this Memorial Day weekend.
