The Stuhr Museum on Grand Island opens it's signature holiday event, CHRISTMAS: PAST & PRESENT, this weekend.

UNL saxophone professor Paul Haar drops by before the UNL Jazz Ensemble I's concert next week at Kimball Hall, and chats up their new CD, BEYOND THE PLAINS.

Also, director Mary Douglass brings along a few cast members to preview CINDERELLA at Southeast Community College's Beatrice Campus, opening December 11.

And, a statewide arts calendar and William Kloefkorn's Poetry of the Plains.

Friday, December 12th

This week, Judy Hart and Lindsey Porter drop by to talk about the Angels Theatre holiday production, COOKING WITH LARD, at the Loft at The Mill in Lincoln.

Nebraska poet and Professor Emeritus from UNK Dr. Don Welch speaks about is new collection called WHEN MEMORY GIVES DUST A FACE.

Nebraska Jazz Orchestra's CHRISTMAS & ALL THAT JAZZ Concert comes next Thursday, Dec. 18th at Lincoln's Embassy Suites. We'll have a preview.

We'll take a look at Lincoln's First Presbyterian Church's ARTS FOR THE SOUL performance series that features a Christmas Concert with the Union College Unionaires this Sunday, Dec. 14.

Also, CHRISTMAS STORY, leg lamp and all, hit the boards last week at the Lincoln Community Playhouse. Director Paul Pearson drops by to chat up this classic American holiday story.

Friday, December 19th

This week, Linda Hillegas from Lee Booksellers makes her annual visit offer a few suggestions for the holiday season.

Cythnia Bruneteau chats up a unique photo contest featuring Nebraska's Highway 136.

The Plymouth Brass will ring in the new year with newly commissioned works and arrangements by Tony Falcone, David Sharp and Jeremy Bankson on their annual LAST BLAST concert Dec. 31st at First Plymouth Church in Lincoln.

We'll preview a performance of Handel's Messiah this Sunday, December 21in Henderson featuring the Bethesda Mennonite Church Chancel Choir, the Nebraska Symphony Chamber Orchestra, and soloists led by Rod Drews.

William Shomos drops by before this putting this year's production of AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS on its feet this Sunday, Dec. 21 at 1:30 and 4:00 p.m. at the Lied Center's Johnny Carson Theatre.

Also, Ernest Richardson, Assistant Conductor for the Omaha Symphony, previews OSO's Christmas concerts Friday and Sunday afteroon, Dec. 19 & 21, at the Holland Center.
