New Novel set in the Nebraska Sandhills
The main character, a young woman who loves ranching, has to put her life back together after a tragic auto accident. Ladette Randolph left Nebraska last year to edit Ploughshares, a distinguished literary journal. She returns to her roots with her first novel, titled A Sandhills Ballad. In a recent interview, NET Radio's Jerry Johnston asked Randolph about the storyline, and the story behind the book.

Randolph is scheduled for two public readings of A Sandhills Ballad, in Lincoln and North Platte. Click here for details.
