Sarah Chayes reported on the overthrow of the Taliban in 2001. After her assignment ended, she resigned from NPR to do relief work in Afghanistan In an interview before her EN Thompson Forum address at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, Jerry Johnston asked Chayes about her work in Afghanistan and her opinion of current US policy there.
