After her assignment ended, she resigned from NPR to do relief work in Afghanistan by Jerry Johnston Lincoln, NE 3/7/09 In an interview before her EN Thompson Forum address at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, Jerry Johnston asked Chayes about her work in Afghanistan and her opinion of current US policy there.
