Cattlemen Seeking USDA Intervention.
"...they have to make the call. I think they have to call the judge and say 'this information has been brought to our attention and would you modify your court order.' Because I got the impression from the comments that were made by the judge, that he understands there's a need out there... that he understands there is an issue with feed shortage, and it needs to be resolved. If he has this information, we're hoping he will make the right decision and will modify his order."
Moser says they are waiting word from state-level officials, but will contact Ag Secretary Ed Schafer directly if needed.

FARGO, ND
(NDPR) -
Officials with the North Dakota Stockman's Association are calling on the U-S Department of Agriculture to help in freeing up emergency haying and grazing on Conservation Reserve acres. Earlier this month a U-S District Court Judge issued an injunction, prohibiting farmers and ranchers from applying for the U-S-D-A's critical feed use program. Wade Moser - of the Stockman's Association - says the judge's decision was based on incomplete information. He says the U-S-D-A needs to approach the judge with full details..."...they have to make the call.
