Sioux nickname deadline to be extended BISMARCK, ND (Prairie Public) - The chancellor of the North Dakota University System says he is willing to grant the Standing Rock Sioux tribe another 30 days to consider the University of North Dakota's Fighting Sioux nickname and logo.
