Storing carbon dioxide underground at Burger power plant
Geologists are trying to see whether it's possible to store the greenhouse gas that's emitted from the plant in so-called injection zones about a mile under ground.
A new report says the area's geology indicates underground carbon dioxide storage COULD work - but nobody's actually tried it yet - and the question remains of how much gas could be kept underground. © Copyright 2012, WOUB

A report just out indicates so far, so good for the idea of storing carbon dioxide underground at the Burger Power plant on the Ohio river in Belmont county. Geologists are trying to see whether it's possible to store the greenhouse gas that's emitted from the plant in so-called injection zones about a mile under ground.
