(KMUW) - Sleeping outdoors is a way of life for dozens of homeless people in Wichita. Last year's count showed 526 homeless in the city with 89 of those meeting the definition of chronically homeless. 42-year-old TJ is among the chronically homeless. He has a masters degree in anthropology and is also a former Baptist pastor. He fell on hard economic times and went into a severe depression. Instead of shelters which he says are extremely crowded and don't allow him time to get to temp agencies early, he wakes up most mornings living on the streets and under bridges. TJ took KMUW's Carla Eckels on a tour.
