Tornado Hits Northwood NORTHWOOD, ND (Prairie Public) - Power has been cut-off and residents of Northwood are encouraged to curtail their water usage in the aftermath of a Sunday night tornado that claimed the life of one person and injured nearly two dozen.

Governor Hoeven has issued an emergency declaration for the area to free-up government resources for the response. He has also mobilized the National Guard to aid in the clean-up effort.
