Description
Wits™ is a new weekly national public radio show from American Public Media and Minnesota Public Radio that brings world-class comedians, actors and musicians to the stage of the Fitzgerald Theater, where host John Moe gives them and the audience the time of their lives.

Paula Poundstone is one of the great humorists of our time. You’ve heard her on Wait, Wait … Don’t Tell Me!, and you’ve seen her frequently on HBO starring in her own standup comedy specials and on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. She’s the author of “There is Nothing in This Book That I Meant to Say.” Her new CD, "I HEART JOKES: Paula Tells Them in Boston" debuts April Fools Day.

Robyn Hitchcock is one of the godfathers of alternative rock, and a prolific songwriter, having written and recorded over 500 songs. He appeared in the 2004 remake of The Manchurian Candidate and Rachel Getting Married. Since founding the art-rock band The Soft Boys in 1976, Hitchcock has played with John Paul Jones, Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings, Peter Buck, Nick Lowe and more.

Show starts at 8:00 p.m., but the party starts early. Come at 7:00 for the tweet-up happy hour. Drinks are half-price until 7:30. A Current DJ will be spinning tunes, barter box bargainers will be ready to make an unexpected trade, and we'll have Twitter tutors helping out anyone who needs a little digital support.
