The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency says Iran may be hiding secret nuclear activities.
IAEA director Mohamed ELBaradei has told the agency's board that he is seriously concerned about Iran's continued stonewalling of his investigators.
In his comments, made available to reporters at the start of the meeting, ElBaradei says "Iran needs to give the agency substantive information" about its nuclear program in order to "build confidence" about its peaceful intentions.
A top Iranian envoy accuses the United States of trying to use the international agency as a tool against his country. He maintains that Iran is engaging in "no activity at all related to nuclear weapons."
A number of diplomats say time may be running out as Iran continues its nuclear development program, and that the U.S. or Israel may resort to military strikes if they believe all diplomatic options have been exhausted.
