Airstrike Kills 6 in Pakistan
Pakistani officials say at least six people are dead following an airstrike against a militant compound near the country's border with Afghanistan.
The missile attack came soon after a senior American military officer met with Pakistani government leaders to discuss their anger over recent cross-border attacks inside Pakistan.
Pakistani intelligence officials tell The Associated Press that several missiles hit a compound in a tribal area that's been used by Taliban militants. One official said a pilot-less drone of the type used by the CIA and U.S. military forces in Afghanistan was heard in the area before the attack.
A spokesman for the U.S.-led coalition in Afghanistan says he has no reports of any attack into Pakistan. The White House has declined to comment on the report.
