McCain Promises to Help Michigan Workers
"We're not going to leave the workers here in Michigan hung out to dry while we give billions in tax payer dollars to Wall Street," McCain said, "We're going to take care of the workers, the workers, they're the ones that deserve our help."
Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow told reporters in a conference call that it was "insulting" for McCain to talk about helping workers when he supports trade policies that have cost Michigan jobs.
