Father of Kwame Kilpatrick desposed in Manoogian Mansion party probe
The father of disgraced ex-Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick says a civil lawsuit claiming his son impeded an investigation into a stripper's death "is a joke."
Bernard Kilpatrick told reporters Tuesday outside attorney Norman Yatooma's Birmingham office that he is "angry" to have been called to give a deposition in the suit.
Bernard Kilpatrick is one of dozens of potential witnesses named by Yatooma, who is representing the children of Tamara Greene. Greene was shot to death outside her home in 2003. She is rumored to have performed several months earlier at a wild party at the mayor's official residence.
Yatooma says Kwame Kilpatrick and other city officials conspired to derail a police probe of Greene's death.
