(MPRN) -

State budget talks continued for another day in Lansing. But there's still no resolution to the $3 billion deficit.

Governor Granholm huddled with the Legislature's Republican and Democratic leaders for most of the day.

They were joined by some business leaders to help facilitate the negotiations. They shared some ideas on long-term cost savings.

"I believe there is a commitment to get it done," says former House Speaker Paul Hillegonds, "I really do, but that's not to say that the issues aren't very hard. The choices are terrible, so it's not easily done, but I believe there's a commitment to get it done."

Hillegonds says employers are growing nervous with no budget and the new fiscal year less than a month away.

The governor says she and legislative leaders will negotiate every day until the budget is done.
