Consumers Energy Ordered to Pay Customers
The Commission ordered Consumers to pay back the money within 18 months. Judy Palnau is a spokeswoman for the Commission.
"They need to come back here, to the commission, within thirty days, to explain how they're going to return this," Palnau says. "So they have options. They need to complete the refund within 18 months."
Consumer's Energy has six million customers in Michigan.

Consumer's Energy was ordered to pay eighty-six million dollars back to its customers in Michigan. The Michigan Public Service Commission says the company misused money from a surcharge on customer's bills. The Commission ordered Consumers to pay back the money within 18 months. Judy Palnau is a spokeswoman for the Commission.
