(2009-11-20)
LANSING, MI
(MPRN) -
Michigan's unemployment rate dipped slightly in October, but the state still has the highest jobless rate in the nation at 15.1%. Nevada follows with a rate of 13% and Rhode Island has a rate of 12.9%. That's according to numbers released today by the U-S Bureau of Labor Statistics. Michigan has had the nation's highest unemployment rate for most of the past for years. A new University of Michigan forecast says unemployment will probably peak in 2010, but job growth will be very slow.
