Detroit Voters Approve Proposal S
Proposal S will pump more than $500 million Federal stimulus dollars into school infrastructure projects.
Detroit Public Schools' Emergency Financial Manager Robert Bobb says the money will be used to re-build and renovate schools, and enhance security. Bobb says Proposal S will also provide an economic boost.
"In a city where we don't have a $500 million dollar capital project on the drawing board, I think this is good," Bobb says.
He says Proposal S should also create about 11,000 direct and indirect jobs.
