Allegations Against The U of M Football Program: What's Really Going On?
ANN ARBOR, MI
(Michigan Radio) -
The University of Michigan is looking into allegations that its football program has been violating NCAA rules. The rules limit how much time athletes can train and practice. The allegations came out from a Detroit Free Press report. In that report, current and former players said the amount of time they spent on football greatly exceeds the NCAA limits. Coach Rich Rodriguez is defending the program, saying the coaches know the rules and follow the rules. Michigan Radio's Morning Edition host Christina Shockley speaks with sports writer John U. Bacon.
